Founder/CEO
Carmen Jones
With a background as a pharmaceutical intake specialist and a spirit defined by generosity, Carmen Jones discovered her true calling in supporting families with limited resources. A dedicated humanitarian with a deep love for outreach, Carmen has faithfully served thousands of families over the last decade. She currently advocates for communities across Cumberland, Duplin, Hoke, Sampson, Scotland, and Wayne Counties.

As the liaison between the Board of Directors and management, Carmen translates the Board’s vision into practical, high-impact strategies. In the organization's startup phase, she serves as both director and supervisor of all operations, ensuring that every day-to-day activity aligns with the Board’s guidance and long-term goals.

President
Veronica Sanchez
Veronica Sanchez has served as Vice President of Grace Helping Others since 2022, bringing passion, dedication, and strong leadership to her work in Sampson County. She is deeply committed to serving county residents by providing access to education, resources, and meaningful support. Veronica actively volunteers at local shelters, participates in community events, and serves on boards of local organizations, demonstrating her collaborative approach and commitment to community development.
She has led impactful community projects, spearheaded toy drives, and engaged in educational initiatives while building strong networks with small businesses and corporate partners. Through her efforts, Veronica continues to strengthen connections, expand resources, and help create a more informed, vibrant, and supportive Sampson County.

Vice President
Char Locklear
Char Locklear is a Registered Nurse and Team Leader at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, where she has served for 13 years. She brings clinical expertise, proven leadership, and a steady commitment to compassionate care.
Char has volunteered with Toys for Tots for four years, supporting children and families during the holiday season. She also serves with Scotland County Hospice through the Children’s Grief Camp, Camp Spinoza, and additional hospice outreach efforts as needed, helping provide comfort and stability for children navigating loss.
In addition, Char serves on the board of a national beauty pageant organization, supporting youth leadership, confidence, and service. As Vice President of Grace Helping Others, Char contributes strong governance, community connection, and fundraising support to advance the organization’s mission.

Secretary and Media Coordinator
Ashley Jones
Ashley Jones serves in the United States Navy and brings a strong foundation of discipline, leadership, and service to her community work. She previously served the State of North Carolina as a Correctional Sergeant with the Department of Adult Corrections, where she developed extensive experience in leadership and public service.
A dedicated member of Grace Helping Others Inc. since 2021, Ashley serves as Secretary and Media Coordinator, supporting organizational operations, communications, and community outreach. She is committed to bridging gaps for underserved populations through strategic leadership, community project coordination, and educational initiatives that promote empowerment and long-term impact.

Community Liason
Brittani Pete
Brittani Pete serves as a Community Liaison dedicated to building meaningful connections and strengthening relationships across the community. With a natural ability to engage people of all ages, backgrounds, and perspectives, Brittani bridges gaps between residents, organizations, and partners to ensure collaboration and inclusivity. She is passionate about fostering trust, encouraging community involvement, and creating opportunities that support growth, education, and shared success. Through outreach, networking, and creative engagement, Brittani works to ensure every voice is heard and every individual feels connected to the community.
